EXCLUSIVE IN IRELAND TO PORTER & JONES

Portrait of Michael Anastassiades by Helene Binet

The Cypriot-born, London-based engineer turned designer, Michael Anastassiades is counted as one of the most celebrated lighting names on the design scene right now. They’re so sought-after, in fact, they feature in permanent collections of New York’s Museum of Modern Art and London’s V&A museum, among others.

The Tube Chandelier

The lights are super-minimal, utilitarian and almost mundane, yet full of vitality. Just one sculptural Michael Anastassiades light can transform an entire room.

A lifelong quest for harmony and equilibrium means his lighting designs are a cross between fine art and design, with their play between geometric shapes and reflective materials, provoking dialogue and celebration in whatever space they occupy.

International collaborations with brands, architects and designers such as Svenskt Tenn, David Chipperfield, FLOS and Sergio Rossi have ensured that the designer’s pieces are internationally recognisable and hugely sought-after all over the globe.

In Ireland, the Michael Anastassiades collection is available exclusively at Porter & Jones. We’re thrilled to be able to count this brand among our carefully chosen and curated groups of brands we work with that complement our kitchen designs to perfection.
